Our business aims to protect privacy rights. For this reason, we limit the collection and safeguard the privacy of personal information we collect or maintain.
Below are the principles we follow:
We implement safeguards for the information we collect. We take reasonable precautions to secure a person’s personal information by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Also, we limit the collection of personal information to what is needed for servicing the client’s loan application. We conduct periodic audits and destroy confidential information according to records retention rules.
We explain the purpose for the information we collect. When personal information is requested, we explain how the information will be used and how they may be disclosed to others in order to complete their transaction or application.
We only collect personal information permitted by law. The personal information we collect is limited to what is required and legally allowed so that we can provide the service that our clients request. For example, we collect a person’s email address, mailing address, and social security number, among other things, to properly identify the person before being able to process a real estate loan application. Personal information, as defined in the Information Practices Act, is information that identifies or describes an individual including, name, social security number, physical description, home address, home telephone number, education, financial matters, and medical or employment history.
We ask for review of clients’ personal information. Persons who provide us with personal information are asked to properly review and take corrective action to ensure that the information provided to us is accurate and complete. This review process allows us to properly provide and protect clients as we serve them with their financing needs.
